Printmaking

Printmaking

I've experimented with almost all of the traditional printmaking processes, but the one I'm using most in my current work is collagraph.  A collagraph plate is created by adhering various textured materials to paper or board.  The board is then sealed with acrylic medium, and after drying completely can be inked and wiped in the same way as an etching plate.  Several plates are often printed successively, and layers of monotype may be used to further develop the image.
